1. Information We Collect

When you create an account we store the information you provide (display name, email address, profile photo) and data you generate while using the app (climbing routes, progress, social interactions).

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide, maintain, and improve the Totem climbing experience.
Display your profile and activity to other users according to your privacy settings.
Send important service-related notifications.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Authentication). We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS) and Firebase Security Rules.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only within the Totem community features you opt into, or when required by law.

5. Data Retention

Active accounts: data is retained as long as your account exists.
Deleted accounts: all personal data is removed immediately upon account deletion, except anonymised analytics logs (retained for up to 30 days) and payment receipts (retained for up to 7 years, if applicable, for legal compliance).

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To delete your account, open the app → Profile → Settings → Delete Account, or visit our Account Deletion page.

7. Children

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
